The President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs visited the CEWOOD new production plant
On 12 September, the President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs visited the municipality of Alūksne, including our company’s production site in Jaunlaicene, which is also one of the largest employers in the region.
The company’s management proudly showed the process of preparation and manufacturing of wood wool panels or fibrolith, presented the achievements, talked about the countries where the products are exported and the future plans.
At the end of the visit, the guests explored the new production facilities, in which a capsule was laid in by the Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš in the early days. The President Edgars Rinkēvičs’ visit to the site comes at a time when the company is ready to continue on the path of development, and the new production plant will start operating in a few weeks. The President praised the company’s achievements and the architecture of the building, especially the round window — the largest of its kind in Europe — through which you can see a pine tree creating a seaside ambience.
The new production plant and equipment will allow the company to enhance its competitiveness and further expand into existing and new markets, as well as provide a range of other advantages.
